Spring Still Sprung at POWDR Resorts, Despite the Pandemic

Some folks believe spring at a ski resort to be the best time of the season. The sun is out, snow is soft, burgers are on the grill, and fun is in the air. For POWDR resorts that stay open late in the season—notably Killington, Mt. Bachelor and Snowbird—all these benchmarks of spring hold true.

“Spring vibes at Mt. Bachelor are the best,” says Leigh Capozzi, brand and marketing director. “The entire energy of the resort shifts—for both staff and guests. Most days are sunny, with crystal clear bluebird skies, and the skiing is fantastic.”

Snowbird Hosts the Bucket List Family

This spring, Snowbird hosted social media phenoms “The Bucket List Family” for a week of snow sliding and mountain fun, which resulted in lots of great exposure for the resort. What translated to about 45 minutes of YouTube content and a half dozen Instagram posts took a lot of effort behind the scenes, a task the crew says was well worth it.

POWDR’s COVID-19 Vaccine Philosophy

Your efforts to support our COVID-19 protocols and do your part to stay well resulted in us being able to deliver and enjoy memorable experiences across POWDR for the duration of the season.

The COVID-19 landscape has changed and, with vaccines now widely available and new CDC guidance regarding masks and distancing, POWDR remains committed to protecting our teams, guests and community.

As we all know, Woodward is a passionate community committed to prioritizing safety within the camp experience for every camper, staff member, coach and family. Last month was National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Woodward was proud to announce a new partnership with child safety leaders Darkness to Light and the Monique Burr Foundation for Children, in conjunction with Gymnastics Program Designer and Advocate Aly Raisman, to help increase awareness and provide education on the prevention of child abuse.

The Camp Woodward show is officially back! After a two-year hiatus, Woodward is excited to bring back its hit series—a reality show that follows a group of up-and-coming skaters through their two-week experience at camp—for the 11th season. And while everyone on the camp team is exciting to gear back up for production, there’s clearly a group of people who are even more excited.
